Elder Care ministry photo

Elder Care

Some of the most marginalized people in our society are our elders. As they begin the homestretch of the race they have run, they often find themselves in nursing homes – lonely, depressed, and scared.

Our Elder Care Ministry tends to the spiritual needs of those in nursing homes and hospice care by providing bible studies, prayer, empathy, a listening ear and good old-fashioned friendship. Over the last 25 years, some 2000 elders have been ministered to and nearly 400 have committed their lives to following Jesus!

Front Row Seat ministry photo

Front Row Seat

How good and pleasant it is when God’s people live together in unity! Psalm 133:1. And how devastating it is when we do not. We know that misunderstanding around race and culture create tension not only in our city, but in our churches as well.

Authentic conversations grounded in the Word and Spirit of God bring understanding to the unique experience of race, from either side of the aisle. BASICS Ministry of Front Row Seat is doing just that! Front Row Seat: Dialogs for Understanding Together creates a safe space to share experiences that bring understanding, compassion and action to the lives of believers!

Keith and Karin Magee portrait

Neighborhood Fellowship Church

Psalm 1:2 “but his delight is in the law of the LORD, and on his law, he meditates day and night.”

Searching the Holy Scriptures, attending worship and being involved in the Christian community and movement, Keith and Karin Magee feel led to seek God’s will in the village of Waterford and beyond.

By enriching personal relationships with Jesus Christ and their neighbors, the Magees are reaching out to local officials, schools, churches, businesses and the community as they set up a safe haven in a Waterford Heritage Site.

The church was built in the 1800s to praise and worship God. They are reopening this safe space to cultivate community, inspire hope and share the love of God.
